The number one reason is to prevent tunelling.

If you don't burn your candle all the way to the edges of the jar then your next burnt burn will only go to where the wax went out to on its last burn.

Pre-plan your first burn, on our Large Deluxe Candles, you may need to ensure you can be home for at least 4-5 hours.

Your wax has a memory (of sorts). If you didn't go out to the edges in your last burn, all burns thereafter will only go to its last wax emlt point - it will never correct itself and you will forever have a ring of wax around the edges of your jar.

There are lots of video's on YouTube but honestly, its probably easiest to dig out the excess wax with a spoon, clean your jar and relight making sure you get the wax out to the edges.

Best solution is prevention.

• Clean the inside of the jar with baby wipe, paper towel or soft cloth
• Clean any black residue off the top of the candle wax
• Trim your wick to remove the mushroom of the tip of the wick - this also prevents black bits going into your wax 
• Trim by using wick trimmers, or pinching top off with paper towel or baby wipes

The short answer is yes.

We wouldn't recommend leaving your candle burning for longer than 6 hours for our Deluxe Range

We wouldn't recommend leaving your Classic Candle burning for more than 4-5 hours.

If you burn your candle for long periods, you may find that the melted wax starts to turn quite dark.

You may also find that candles with a high Vanilla scent may start to smell burnt if they are overburnt.

Pure soy wax is made from soy beans which is a natural plant based product. It has no chemicals or enhancements in it.

Paraffin wax is a petroleum by-product and could give off toxins when lit. Paraffin wax is inexpensive, and is very easy to use which is why most large companies make candles with it.

You may see a lot of candles stating that they use a "soy blend" but dont be fooled, this is their way of making us believe they are using a soy based product but are essentially using a paraffin wax with a small amount of soy mixed in.

This is the No. 1 question we get asked.

Unfortunately the answer is no.

Heat from burning candles affects every jar, eventually after prolonged heat it may eventually crack.

We are unable to track recycled jars once they leave our studio and therefore our Insurance will not cover us if something happens to the candle.

We encourage customers to reuse our jars within their homes as they can be used as vases or to hold household items.
